In May 1973 the first masters athletics magazine was published, on a quarterly (approximately) basis under the name of Veteris:

In June 1987 the format changed to an A3-sized newspaper called Veteran Athletics, published initially every two months but by 1990 it had stabilised as a quarterly publication:

In Autumn 1996 it returned to the A4-sized colour magazine design.
In January 2003 the name Veteran Athletics was replaced by Masters Athletics, in line with the renaming of the sport.
